While my background in genre studies informs everything that I do in my career, my academic work looks specifically at it through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

I fell in love with the work of Kenneth Burke as an undergraduate.  While I have not continued to publish in this field, it has inspired some of my more current work.

disability studies

This is something new to my research life, but with my disability, it seemed to be an avenue worth pursuing. Below is a short article that was recently published and a set of videos that I created for a variety of sources.

I am conversant in the language of writing across the curriculum. It is something that I have yet to publish on, but this is the accreditation document that led to my overseeing the redesign of over 40 courses.
